Jaw Fractures

Jaw fractures may occur in different parts of the jaw depending on the severity and direction of the trauma.

Fractures in the jaws should be treated as soon as possible.

It should be decided whether this treatment will be performed surgically (with miniplates and screws) or only with fixation procedures on the jaws. Loss of time causes the jaw muscles to remove the broken parts, making fracture treatment difficult.
